Bear Stone Festival continues its mission of spotlighting the regional independent music community by welcoming one of Osijek’s most exciting underground collectives known as Purpurne Bašte. On Saturday, July 4, the collective will take over the festival’s Mill Stage with a carefully curated showcase featuring Vodenkonj, Layka, Badel-Bager and Čuvarkuća, offering festival audiences a glimpse into the vibrant new wave emerging from eastern Croatia.

Rooted in Osijek’s DIY and alternative scene, Purpurne Bašte operates as a creative collective and platform connecting musicians, visual artists and independent cultural workers. Through collaborations, releases and grassroots events, the collective has become an important catalyst for a new generation of artists whose work blurs the boundaries between indie rock, post-punk, experimental pop and contemporary alternative music. Their collaboration with Bear Stone Festival represents a shared commitment to independent culture, artistic authenticity and creating space for emerging voices outside the mainstream.

Čuvarkuća has quickly become one of the standout names connected to the Purpurne Bašte collective. Their laid-back indie rock sound combines slacker aesthetics, jangly guitars and bittersweet storytelling, capturing the restless atmosphere of contemporary youth with charm, sincerity and understated wit.
